Altogether, we have 6 Goldens in the GRCC's Hall of Fame, though Bumper is in twice, for both Field and Versatility.

Ch. Goldendale's Belle CD,OD
Winning 'Best of Breed' in 1969
Tammy was our first champion, and became Ch. Goldendale's Belle CD. Her background was impressive with 4 dual champions in her pedigree, including Irish/English Dual Ch. David of Westley.
We bred Tammy to Am/Can.Ch. Ocoee Duke Millard, Michigan. We met his breeder, at the Kitchener-Waterloo KC shows, November 1971, where Duke had his Canadian Championship in 3 days.
She became a GRCC Outstanding Dam, as did two of her daughters our own Emily, Ch Carolee's Café au lait, Can. and Am.CD and Am. WC. and her litter-sister in the Maritimes, Ch Carolee's Taffy of Mel-O Dee.

Shirley & owner George Stewart winning with "Bumper"
Bumper is in the GRCC Hall of Fame both, in the 'field trail' section and in 'versatility' sections. He was trained and ready for UD when he was unfortunately retired, as a new field puppy arrived at the owner's home.
We are so proud of this male and his owner, George Stewart, who had the pick male, but had never had a purebred or trained before. This proves that with determination and time and the dog with that potential, it can be done.Bumper is still Canada's fifth dual champion but the only one with the CDX title too.
By a year and a half, Bumper had his Canadian championship and a Can. and Am. CD. Bumper won a 5 pt. US major, defeating over 60 males at the Fort Detroit GR Specialty in November 1979. George and Bumper got too busy at the field trials to travel to the US unfortunately.
Bumper handled by Al at 17 months
However later, his daughter, Tia (our Ch. Meadowlakes Carolee's Miss Magic, Am & Can. CD) handled by myself, took the same 5 pt major, at the same show, defeating about the same number of females, 1983. Wow -we were excited!
Bumper won Best Canadian bred at the GRCC National, 1980, and was a close contender for Breed. At four years old, May 1981, Bumper had his Canadian Field Trial Championship, and a few months later, he had his Amateur FT Championship.
The average age for a field trial title is seven years old. Stud Dog Class at the GRCC National Specialty was his, in June 1982.
At the same Specialty, in 1985 he had 1st in the Field Trial class We took Bumper to the Maritimes and at the GRCC Booster in Fredericton, Nova Scotia, in August 1985 he was Best of Breed and Group Third, at nine years old, handled by Alan.
He earned the third leg to his CDX at the GRCC National the next year, 1986 making him the only Canadian Golden Retriever with a dual championship and a CDX.
She was foundation bitch for Betsey Ryan's Makani Meadows registered, in the GRCC Obedience Hall of Fame.
Kaliki was second all-breed obedience dog in Canada 1982.
BIS, Ch. Beckwith's Carolee's Gamble, CGC, TDI, OS
Gamble born June 22, 1986 - August 1, 1998.
Most recently, we are pleased to have our Ch. Beckwiths Carolee's Gamble, CGC, TDI enter the Hall of Fame as an Outstanding Sire.
Beckwith males contributed a great deal to our lines. We have about 45 champions, many UD's, CDX's, CD's, TD's, WC's and WCX's, and most recently a Sr. Hunter, in BC. And Bumper our dual champion, with a CDX.
Congratulations to all those owners. This is what makes a kennel.
