Kathy O’Connor has been with us as an instructor since we started in 1982 and has done a tremendous job. Regretfully, Kathy will be absent from our staff for the time being. Thanks again Kathy for everything.
Gail Gordon was a popular instructor with us for many years, before moving out of the area. We are pleased to welcome Gail back here with us, where she will be teaching on Wednesday evenings.

Start your puppy off on the right paw and prevent problems before they
begin. Smallclasses covering all the basics of sit, stay and come, down and
off. Learn how to redirect typical puppy behavior such as jumping up,
barking, chewing and nipping.
Level 1 -Beginners:
Attention and response, sit, stand and down, heel and come, all on lead.
Level 2 - Advanced Beginners:
Steadying the dog with distractions, more heeling patterns, longer stays
and comes, more control gained.
Dogs will not be registered in Level 2 Advanced Beginners, without having
passed our Level 1 Beginners, or until we assess the dog and handler.
Level 3 - Novice:
Preparation for CKC titles, off-lead work, testing for CGN certificate, and
TDI evaluation, drop-in available, for practice for our students.
All above classes are 6 weeks in length, except Puppy which is 4 weeks.
Conformation Show Handling:
Practise ring patterns, learn ring procedure and how to bait and present your
dog effectively. We offer this for the inexperienced owner and/or inexperienced
dog. We have had breeders, vets, judges and professional handlers attend Can
Do show handling classes to "fine-tune" their new puppy, or give the shy dog

Starting dates are set one month apart.
New classes start every month.
A training booklet is given for every level.
For success, you need a properly fitted collar, approved by Can Do, and a foot leather lead is prefered, all at a nominal cost, first night of class.
Regular attendance is necessary, and daily practice at home.
Can Do makes every effort to arrange a make-up class.
No refunds given after first night.
